This year, we are thrilled to announce that the 2025 Pink Ribbon Gala will benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida (BCFCF)—Giving help and hope to families impacted by breast cancer. We are dedicated to helping local families with their non-medical bills while receiving active breast cancer treatments.
Our theme this year is “Garden of Hope,” and the event will take place at the beautiful Bonnet Springs Saturday, October 4th at 6 PM. The evening promises to be both elegant and inspiring, filled with community connection, meaningful moments, and the hope we all share for brighter days ahead.
Katie Rader talks more about her book: How cancer changed my life and for the better! From writing my first book to being involved in a non profit. Alongside other survivors, we lift each other up and raise awareness and money to help pay the bills for local women in our community who are going through cancer treatment. Cancer has grown my faith and opened my eyes to the need in my own community. My book “ You Don’t Need Headlights to Shine” is written in real time, my daily battle against breast cancer. The Breast Caner Foundation of Central Florida is a local nonprofit where I choose to give back and make a difference in Lakeland and surrounding areas. “I am” a better person for it all, “I am” a survivor, “I am” my community, “I am Lakeland”.
