Crystal does such a great job of listening and asking questions to make sure she understands your vision. As an aspiring cosmetology student, the consultation in the beginning is one of my favorite parts.

Belinda is an artist. This was my second haircut with her. She is always able to deduce what haircut I’m asking for even when I’m terrible at explaining what I want. For this haircut, I literally drew a picture of the hair I wanted after creating something in my head made up of a conglomerate of other hair styles on Google images. She made it happen. It’s like she can read my mind and then render a 3D model of my hair in her head. Also, I walk in the salon extremely tense from being super busy all the time, and then when we do the shampoo I literally become so zen, and I am never zen. Literally she made me realize I need to start getting massage therapy. When I got my hair cut the first time I thought I was going to need it cut again in like 6-8 weeks, but I asked Belinda how long I should wait before another appointment and she said “maybe about 10 weeks?” And I was like “yeah right” because I usually have to get my hair cut earlier than that for it to still look good since my hair is pretty fine/flat and grows fast. But my hair was cute for WAY longer than that. It was crazy, I’ve never had a haircut look that good for that long. I imagine that’s what a skilled hair stylist knows how to do. I’m trying to get my friend to book this salon ASAP, Belinda is worthy of gatekeeping, but that’s not what good friends do.

As always my experience is dazzling from start to finish. The smiles that greet me when I walk through the door start my time at Venue with utter joy. Alex does such an amazing job on my hair taking time to fully understand what I am looking for and weigh in on how my hair can look and feel amazing. I have been a client for years, worked with many of Venue's incredible team and have left every time as happy as I can be.
